There is no formula or protocol or list to check off when coming-out. But the good news is, you are not alone! Listening to other people’s coming-out stories is one way to start. Some stories end up just fine. Some are terrible. There is no way to know what will happen until you do. But get through the pain and the hurt, if there is some, and you’ll see to a better tomorrow on the other side of the closet.

It Gets Better Project

Started in 2010 by Seattle columnist Dan Savage, as a reaction to LGBT youth taking their own lives because of bullying at school, home or church, the It Gets Better Project seeks to offer hope to those in high school and junior high by sharing other stories about coming out, and life after high school. It may look bad now, but life does get better. Have you posted an It Gets Better Project video? If you have we’d love to post it on our page!
